Chacun est unique et nous sommes tous divers. Par leurs parcours et leurs actions, les personnalités de ce livre privilégient la diversité, oeuvrent à lʼélaboration dʼune société respectueuse des différences. Connus ou non du grand public, tous sont uniques, mais aussi complexes parce que humains. Cʼest pourquoi ils sont représentés en trois dimensions. Un portrait dʼabord réfléchit leur image. Puis, en guise de trace intime, un écrit ou un dessin de leur main sʼinspire du thème de la diversité. Enfin, les modèles répondent à deux questions : « À quoi rêvait le petit garçon ou la petite fille que vous étiez ? » et « Lʼadulte est-il en accord avec lʼenfant ? » Les réponses sont à lʼimage de cet ouvrage : uniques et diverses…

Présentation
À l'occasion de ses 20 ans d'existence, le lycée professionnel Le Champ de Claye de Claye-Souilly (77) présente un très beau projet artistique : une exposition de photographies, textes et illustrations intitulée Instants lycéens. Cette exposition regroupe à la fois des photographies prises par des élèves du C.A.P photographie, par des professeurs, et les clichés d'un photographe professionnel : Fabien Lemaire. Tout l'intérêt de ce projet réside dans la confrontation de ces deux regards : extérieur et intérieur, pour faire vivre et ressentir aux visiteurs de l'exposition le quotidien de ce lycée professionnel de ces deux points de vue. Toute la communauté éducative s'est associée à ce projet : les élèves des autres sections ont travaillé sur des textes lors d'ateliers d'écriture et ont réalisé des illustrations. L'objectif était de fédérer élèves et professeurs autour d'un projet commun centré sur leur quotidien.

Meeting a photographer for the first time, it is all about catching the eye. What will he capture in you? When is the best moment to shoot? Then, what will he do with the picture in order to look like anything but a simple snapshot ? Fabien Lemaire absorbs his day and night surrounding environment; he goes beyond the cold rooted aspect of a snapshot through breathing a new life thanks to his talent as a graphic designer, his love for painting, the naturalism of the subject and artful technologies. This is how each snapshot revolutionizes into a painting. Water and light move into substance and make-up. The slough of the elements acts like a visual effect. As Fabien Lemaire uses superposition principle and plays with transparency and colour saturation, his work gives a soul to cities and objects as it takes it away from human beings. His world becomes one of its own, mixing day and night, flesh and substance, skin and sunrays. Everything mingles: natural mineral and urban life, eternity and fleeting instants, distances get closer and moments merge.
But beyond globalization and materialization Fabien Lemaire brings a more spiritual vision into his work, often natural and always humane. There is warmth coming from the light captured by the camera. The invisible becomes obvious. This feeling of strangeness originates in the controlled impulse of mixing contrasts in symbiosis and osmosis. Going beyond the frame where limits are meaningless. The bottom lines are the bodies, sensual and uncluttered, the settings hardly unfamiliar reflecting unknown place. Fate decides for the picture. Freedom occurs at very the moment the picture is caught in the memory card. Once the picture is transferred to his computer, Fabien Lemaire casts a spell on it and models it as he had pictured it in his mind. It is not about being faithful or illustrative. His works are a mix of arts put altogether where the living and the substance coexist. It is not about framing people passing by. There is no place for the devotion of appearances or atmosphere aestheticism. Quite the contrary! Landscapes and faces are figurative elements feeding internal and static journeys. They take us by surprise as well as they stare at us. When reshaped, they uplift us to another world often wonderful, sometimes virtual but never artificial. Vincy.com
