BIOGRAPHY
Fabien Lemaire was born in 1980 in Meaux – France.By age 12 years he’s passionate about of the photo when he inherited the old photographic equipment from his father and his grandfather. He studied graphic design at the Claude Garamond and Maximilien Vox’s School in Paris.After graduating he decided to go and explore Europe and Canada.In 2004 after a rich and accomplished experience in the communication field and personal development Fabien Lemaire decides to make his passion his occupation.
In 2008 the “Alserkal Foundation” based in the United Arab Emirates let him “carte blanche” to exhibit in his gallery Heritage House in the heart of the historic area Al Bastakiya to Dubaï.He creates IMPULSE which is a collection of 36 works staged in 6 areas. This exhibition was a great success with Dubaï-based media, a rarity for a photographic exhibition of a young French artist. The exhibition will also be hosted in Paris the following Year.
In 2009 the “Toledo association” and the prestigious “Somogy Editions of art” commissioned UNIQUE & DIVERS.A book on the diversity theme is illustrated by 46 individuals portraits whose Rama Yade (French ambassador to UNESCO) Christophe Girard (Mayor deputy of Paris in charge of culture), Frederic Taddei (TV journalist and Broadcaster).
January 2010 Fabien Lemaire decided to go to Japan to perform TRANSPARENCE FROM TOKYO. Back from his trip Julie Prisca French designer renowned acknowledges the quality of its work and decides to expose its works in her gallery Rue du Bac - Paris during the “Mois de la Photographie”.The following months he made 25 features on the Parisian nights for the book PARIS DERNIERE prefaced by Thierry Ardisson. With the opportunity’s release book in November 2010, an exhibition held at the Gallery 105 Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré - Paris.
March 2011, the artist-photographer sets off for the middle East finalize TRANPARENCE FROM DUBAI. An exhibition will by the end of the year.Gradually in addition to his photographic work Fabien Lemaire became an author and director for several documentaries on subjects such as gastronomy, ecology and luxury which will be completed this year.He’s realizing LOVERS and SEXLIFE project which is a multimedia personal and artistic by which he takes a fresh look on the couple, tolerance and love…
BIOGRAPHIE
Fabien Lemaire naît en 1980 à Meaux, France. Dès l'âge de 12 ans, ilse passionne pour la photo lorsqu’il hérite des vieux appareils de son père etde son grand-père. Il étudie le graphisme à l’Ecole Claude Garamond et Maximilien Vox à Paris. Diplômé, il décide alors de partir à la découverte del’Europe et du Canada. En 2004, après une expérience riche et aboutie dansle domaine de la communication et du développement personnel, FabienLemaire décide de faire de sa passion son métier.
Courant 2006 et 2007, il développe un style pictural et poétique, grâce à unetechnique de chevauchement d'ektachromes. Fabien Lemaire crée ainsiTRANSPARENCE FROM EUROPE, premier volet d’une longue série, dans laquelle il révèlela relation entre l’humain, la ville et la nature.
En 2008, l’Alserkal Foundation basée aux Emirats Arabes-Unis lui laissecarte blanche pour exposer dans sa galerie Heritage House au cœur duquartier historique d'Al Bastakiya de Dubaï. Il crée IMPULSE, un ensemble de 36 œuvres misen scène dans 6 espaces. Cette exposition remporte un vif succès auprès de lapresse dubaïotes, chose rare pour une exposition de photographie d’un jeuneartiste français. L’exposition sera également accueillie à Paris l’annéesuivante.
En 2009, l’association Tolède et les prestigieuses Editions d'Art Somogy lui commande UNIQUES &DIVERS.Un livre sur le thème de la diversité illustrée par 46 portraits de personnalités dont Rama Yade(ambassadrice de la France auprès de l'Unesco), Christophe Girard (adjoint au Maire de Paris chargé dela Culture), Yamina Benguigui(réalisatrice et productrice), FrédericTaddeï (journaliste et animateur). Il réalise aussi Regard sur la Diversité une séried’interviews pour Aegis Media et l’association Tolède.
Janvier 2010, Fabien Lemaire décide de partir au Japon afin de réaliser TRANSPARENCE FROM TOKYO. De retour deson voyage, Julie Prisca, designer française de renom, reconnaît la qualité deson travail et décide de l’exposer dans sa galerie rue du Bac à Paris durant leMois de la Photo.
Les mois suivants, il réalise 25 reportages sur les nuits parisiennes pour lelivre PARIS DERNIEREpréfacé par Thierry Ardisson. A l’occasion de la sortie du livre en novembre2010, une exposition a lieu à la Galerie105, rue du Faubourg St Honoré, àParis.
Progressivement, en plus de son travail photographique, Fabien Lemaire devientauteur et réalisateur pour plusieurs documentaires traitant de sujet comme lagastronomie, l’écologie et le luxe qui seront réalisé cette année.
Il réalise actuellement LOVERSet SEXLIFE PROJECT, un projet multimédiapersonnel et artistique, dans lequel il porte un regard nouveau sur le couple,la tolérance et l'amour.
